MS and cannabinoids

Here are a few links to explore if you or a loved one have MS. Cannabis has been found quite helpful with symptom control and slowing down MS.
Much more research is needed.

Multiple Sclerosis – Medical Marijuana Research Overview

Cannabis Saved My Life — Multiple Sclerosis

Medical Cannabis: A Complex Question

shutterstock_316097636The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in the US takes the view that the question of whether marijuana — produced from the flowering top of the hemp plant, cannabis Sativa — should be used for symptom management in MS is a complex one.

It says that there is general agreement that better therapies are needed for distressing symptoms of MS — including pain, tremor and spasticity — that may not be sufficiently relieved by available treatments. Still, there are uncertainties about the benefits of marijuana relative to its side effects.

Marijuana can cure Hepatitis C, WIT research shows

My husband Ed developed cancer because of his Hep C. This really caught my attention.

Press Release

Dr. Matt Stone, PHD
Chief of Staff, Wyoming Institute of Technology
June 1st, 2014

For Immediate Release

Cheyenne, WY – Hepatitis C has negatively impacted millions of lives, and medical researchers have tried for decades to develop a vaccine with no luck.  But today, our team at the Wyoming Institute of Technology is pleased to announce that, with the help of our pharmaceutical partners, we’ve cracked the code and can deliver a cost-effective vaccine and cure to the world within the next 14 to 18 months… and we owe it all to cannabis.

Our research into the field of hepatitis C vaccination began last fall, after one of our interns had alleged that she had completely “cured” herself of hepatitis C by edifying and vaporizing a strain of cannabis that she herself had invented, which she calls “Chunky Crimson.”  Upon further investigation, we found that she had not actually cured herself completely, but her initial findings prompted us to launch a full study, which began in our facility in Denver, Colorado in January of 2014.

In May, the WIT team, working closely with a medical marijuana dispensary in Denver and also with a team from GlaxoSmithKline, developed a trial medication based on “Chunky Crimson” which is consumed three times daily, and coupled with a suppository admitted once daily.  Human trials showed that 99.8% of recipients of the test drug were fully cured of Hepatitis C, while the remaining 0.2% showed signs of reversal, and could theoretically be cured with continued administering of the rectal suppository alone.

Pending FDA approval, WIT hopes to begin human trials on a needle-administered vaccine shot later this year.  Meanwhile, the FDA is also reviewing our existing tested drug, which GlaxoSmithKline hopes to begin selling on the market in 2015.  Both drugs should hopefully be available globally in 2016.

High-power sound waves used to blast cancer cells

British doctors are developing a revolutionary new therapy for cancer and associated conditions based on the use of high-powered beams of ultrasound.

The researchers – working at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), at the Royal Marsden hospital in Sutton, outside London – have already used the technology to kill harmful tissue deep inside the bodies of patients suffering from metastatic bone lesions – without recourse to any form of surgery. And in future, doctors believe they will also use ultrasound to zap prostate, breast and other tumours. “This technology has immense potential,” said Professor Gail ter Haar, who is based at the institute.

An example of the technology’s power is provided by Moira Baker (not her real name), a 52-year-old former teacher who lives in Kew, London. Two years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly afterwards she was also found to have bone lesions caused by the metastatic spread of her cancer. Baker received chemotherapy that has left her in remission for her condition. However, her bone lesions continued to cause considerable pain which standard treatments, including radiotherapy, failed to alleviate. So she was selected to be treated with ultrasound to blast the cells in her bones that were triggering her pain.

Pharmageddon: Proof Conventional Medicine is a Killing Machine

Although Americans have been repeatedly told that heart disease and cancer are the two leading causes of death in the US, in fact conventional medicine is the leading cause of death today!

Carolyn Dean MD, ND, and Trueman Tuck, a Legal and Political Rights advocate, authored the  no-holds-barred book in 2005: Death by Modern Medicine, which deconstructs modern medicine with the precision of a skilled surgeon removing a deadly cancerous tumor. The book clearly shows via the “Allopathic Investment Industry’s” own data that modern medicine is a scourge on humanity, a black plague, a hidden pandemic. The truth is it’s a monopoly that operates like a mafia and thrives on sickness while discouraging wellness – especially disease prevention. Read more

Cannabis Suppositories: Is the Posterior Superior?

Suppositories are often the butt of many jokes and puns, but rectal administration of marijuana has many advantages. In addition to being a viable option for patients who can’t ingest or inhale cannabis, cannabis suppositories also begin to work quickly and last for a long time. Best of all, suppositories are efficient: up to 70 percent of the medicinal compounds in a suppository are bioavailable.

What Are Cannabis Suppositories?

Cannabis suppositories are usually conical or torpedo-shaped masses that are administered rectally. They are around an inch in length and made of either cannabis-infused coconut oil or cocoa butter infused with FECO Oil (Full Extract Cannabis Oil).
